Vines Fishery, East Peckham, Kent
The Carp fishing continues to improve with several twenty pound fish being caught. Surface fishing has been productive but the bulk of the fish have come from bottom baits. Andrew Trace had several upper doubles and a nice 20lb+ Common. Stan Stephens also had a nice 20lb+ Common. Phil Bashford had a very good session with nineteen fish to 19lb 15oz and only one of the fish caught was under 10lb. All anglers are finding quality Carp with luncheon meat, corn and pellet being the favoured baits. Crucians are now showing in numbers with fish nudging 2lb. Bream are also showing to a good size of nearly 4lb. The odd Tench has been caught along with some Roach to just over 1lb but most anglers are targeting the Carp.
The recent memorial match held here in memory of Mick Battell was once again a great success as we managed to raise over £1200 on the day which will be going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
