SPRING LAKE:
Fishing well for carp to 19lb mostly from the deeper swims but some Carp are being taken off the top. Good catches of Bream skimmers and Roach on maggot and worm over groundbait, fishing close to the lillies. Prawns taking Perch to 2lb and Chub to 4lb.
MATCH LAKE:
Corn and maggot still the best baits for the Carp, pellet also scoring. Best fish this month a 23lb Mirror taken from the margins on corn. Plenty of Bream and Roach being caught on worm and maggot with small ground bait feeders and on the pole. Carp still a bit finicky on surface baits but are showing signs of biting with more confidence.
MIDDLE LAKE:
Best Carp this month was a 14lb Mirror taken on corn and groundbait feeder. Pole and maggot taking good catches of skimmers and Roach.
SPECIMEN LAKE:
Paul Willis from Rye has taken a Mirror of 25lb 4oz on the top using bread, presented at the dam end by the alder roots. Popped up corn seems to be the best tactics for the Carp at the moment, fished close to the island. Polefished maggot taking good catches of Roach and worm producing Perch to 2lb.
ORCHARD LAKE:
Best Carp this month, a Mirror of 18lb taken on pellet near the reeds. Punched bread taking some quality Roach and worm and maggot producing some Perch to 2lb.
