There's 2 lakes, mixed and a trout lake.
Facilities: 2/5
There's a small caravan style shop that only sells a few things like drinks and snacks. Not much else but you can hire a boat for the trout lake for about a fiver.
Quality of fishing: 3/5
Plenty of small fish, nothing spectacular to be honest, I've heard there's been a couple of 20's come out of it. Supposed to go up to 25lb.
Fish Stocks: 3/5
Again from what I've seen and heard tales about ... nothing major here except the trout lake is supposed to be good.
Pricing: 3/5
For what you are getting I've paid the same prices for much better quality fish.
£10 for two rods for adults
£5 two rods for kids
£25 for two rods 24 hrs
Staff: 3/5
Had a good chat when I visited, plenty to say about the venue and seemed helpful enough.
Disabled fishing 4/5
Recently been added is a wooden walkway, easy access for wheel chairs and just off the parking area.
Security 4/5
The gates do get locked at given times and a member of staff lives on site in a caravan.
Overall: 3/5
The course lake does have a couple of islands to fish off, but there's a lot of debris on the lake floor not a good size lake either.
The trout lake is better and looks more promising if you're into trout.
They could make a lot of improvements with the lagoon lake but as it is, you have to fish their side of it and that's going to be 50/50 to catch anything.
I wouldn't recommend this lake but everyone has their own opinions.
