Buckland Lake Fishery, Cliffe, Kent
MIXED COARSE LAKE:
The new swims are almost finished now. We have completed a totally new disabled platform as seen in our picture. The tackle shop is now bursting at the seams with top brands such as SOLAR and ROVEX. The fish are really feeding well, lots of our super Rudd are coming out, with Joshua having a cracker to 2lb 14oz. Carpwise, Ray had a great day with five Carp to 9lb and two Rudd to 2lb 10oz, shows experience beats money every time!!!! Congratulations are in order to Matt on his first time fishing ever with a work mate, he caught a beautiful 7lb Mirror. Bait-wise good old corn, SOLARS pop ups or club n cream, chilli club frozen bollies are smashing it. The grass is growing, reeds are shooting up, all is looking nice, so come to Bucklands for a good days fishing in lovely surroundings. Our Café is open every day from 9 till 3 for breakfast and lunch overlooking our lakes.
SPECIMEN LAKE:
The new swims are done on our Speci lake with several double swims built for the social anglers. Most doing 24hrs have had bites which is good given time of year and cold temperatures but the right bait and good presentation more fish can and have been caught. Chubby C and Worzel have had good fish and great success using solar frozen baits and meat!!!!
TROUT LAKE:
The new disabled platform is rebuilt now with two more to follow. Hopefully by time of printing they will be done. Mixed results this month with the less experienced anglers seemingly doing better! Montanas buzzers and gold heads seem to be fly of choice. Biggest trout to come out has been 4lb 7oz with many anglers catching their limit within a few hours even switching to a less effective fly. Come in and check out our fly section in the onsite tackle shop for our new range of equipment at great prices. Those that want to try fly fishing for the first time, we have complete fishing kits for every budget and offer tuition starting from as little as £75 including a days fishing and hire of all equipment needed.
The fishery office has had a complete re-fit now and we are bursting at the seams with bait, tackle and any other fishing equipment you could ever need!
The new Café at the lakes is also open all winter. Hours will be changing with the season, so do call before you come 07827 337424 / 01634 220005 and Gina makes hot food and great coffee.
Please note that our fishery email address has now changed to [email protected].
We sell gift vouchers, which make the ideal Christmas present for any angler, you can
now pay by card over the phone and we can post them to you.
