Darenth Fishing Complex, Darenth, Kent
WILLOW:
Richard Hog had a memorable day with a good catch of ten Carp ranging from 7lb to
16lb, all Commons and taken near to the island. Paul Dickson landed Carp of 12lb and 15lb and
a Catfish of 22lbs.
CHAPEL:
If you fancy a good day float fishing then Chapel seems to be the lake to try. The best mixed weight this month goes to Raymond Pearce with 97lb which was made up of Carp, Tench and F1s as well as some very large Roach. John Harding landed 2 impressive Tench of 8 and 9lb.
GOLD:
It has been a great week this week with plenty of fish showing to bottom baits. David
Bates landing six Carp to 14lbs as well as other reports of numerous individual catches in double figures. This lake has a good head of Carp to 18lb, Tench to 10lb, Bream to now over 10lb as well as large roach and some huge F1's! Always making an interesting days fishing!
CLUBHOUSE:
This lake has again a good head of large Catfish to over 50lb as well as Carp to
over 20lb and as such Paul Neil managed eight Carp to 18lb and a 21lb Catfish. Tony Watson also landing 6 Carp from 12 to 21lb.
TERRAPIN:
Peter Jenkins reported to have had a 24 hour session and had a PB of a 31lb
Mirror as well as 5 others to 24lb. Well Done! Martin James managed to land two impressive Catfish of 39 and 47lb and four Carp to 22lb which were all taken on squid boilies close to the far margin! Chris Hagon on a return trip to the complex managed another impressive catch of a 32lb Mirror and a 26lb Common, again well done guys!
MASONS:
The Catfish in this lake have seemed to be gaining a lot of weight over the last year
and we have had good reports of very large catfish being landed. Phil Nash had two fine specimens of 42 and 51lbs along with Russell Hill landing a 23 and 26lb Catfish. Don’t forget that the Catfish here in Masons are now well in excess of 55lb and the Carp are up to 28lb.
BASILS:
Big swims with plenty of room for kit or two bivvys. As well as being able to fish the far
margin, this lake is stocked with Carp to 30lbs and Catfish to 60lb as well as some impressive
Tench to over 10lb. Andrew Banks upped his PB to 25lb with a lovely Mirror.
STEVE’S LAKE:
The best Carp to come out over the last few weeks goes to Darren Harvey's 28lb Common. There have been a lot of good quality Carp to mid 20’s being caught from features around the lake. Lee Hurst landed eight Carp to 24lb and two Catfish of 21lb and 42lb.
