With the wetter weather coming the fishing has slowed down a bit this month but there have been some good catches on all of our lakes and ponds.
SNIPE LAKE:
Has been all about the Carp this month and we have had a good number of big fish banked, with a few smaller Cats in the mix. Simon Wray had a Common of 20lb and fishing buddy Daryl McClaren had a 20lb Cat, Adrian Back had carp to 18lb 2oz, Martin Hemsley had a 25lb Cat, Jules Humm landed a 22lb 14oz Common, Elliott Walker smashed his PB with a 29lb 8oz Common, Mackenzie Slater had a 30lb Mirror, Michael Moore had a 30lb 2oz Common last knockings of his session and John Cosstick landed a 30lb Mirror. Well done to all.
TUSCANY LAKE:
Opposite to Snipe Lake, Tuscany Lake has been all about the Catfish. There have been some Carp caught but as with the Cats on the move it seems the Carp have been a little more reluctant to get their heads down. Nick Guppy had a 16lb Ghostie, Liam Turner had Ghost Carp at 10lb 2oz and a 20lb Common. It’s the Cats that have really got every ones attention this month with some spectacular catches. Freddie Brazil was happy with his two Cats at 20lb and 24lb, Criss Harris landed a 50lb Cat, Kevin Stears smashed his PB of 29lb with a fantastic Cat of 64lb, Steve White had a couple of good ones out at 41lb and 54lb, Nigel Barrow had a 23lb Cat out then hit into and landed monster at 65lb 12oz, Ade Garwood had a 31lb 8oz Cat and his fishing buddy Damon Turner had the best of the lot with a 50lber followed by a massive 67lb English PB. Well done to all.
JEFFS LAKE:
is still performing fantastically well, it's certainly the place to come if you have never fished before or you are returning to the sport as it allows you to get amongst the fish quickly. Anglers have been banking Tench to 5lb, F1`s, Bream and Perch this month. We held our first Jeffs Lake Open of this year on the 1st of April and everyone who attended caught, all had a good day and plenty of banter. The results of the match – 1st place Barry Horsnell with 73lb, 2nd place Brian Bee with 46lb and 3rd place John Palmer with 42lb 8oz.
MAJORS LAKE:
