Stonebridge Fishing Lakes

Web:
Set in North Yorkshire & easily accessed off the A1 and A19, Stonebridge Fishing Lakes offer great Trout & Carp fishing.

The natural spring fed lakes are stocked with hard fighting Rainbow Trout, which are reared in the North Yorkshire Dales. Mature trees surround the lakes giving an abundance of natural fly life. The fishery platforms are on the level giving lake access to disabled anglers.

Camping, Log Cabins & Rallies.
There is a shower and toilet on site but we have recently been granted planning permission for a further 10 Tourer pitches, new shower block & new toilet facilities. Work will commence in a few weeks time. The work will be finished and available by Early spring 2015.
Camping Cost is £8.00 (Per Night).
Electrical Hook-up is available on a "first come - first served" basis - Cost: £3.00 (Per Night)
Tourers & RV's - There are currently 15 pitches on site all with electrical hook-up - There is no restriction on RV Size and the price structure is the same as for Tourers

Cost is £8.00 plus £3.00 Electrical Hook-up (Per Night if required)

Note: There are a limited number of seasonal pitches available.
Log Cabins - We are currently developing the Log Cabins - We hope to have these available in 2015 - Please phone for further information.

Quality of fishing: 4/5

Has three different lakes for everyone's needs and has a good head of fish in all of them so you should have a good day regardless.

Disabled Facilities 2/5

On a lake with loads of facilities. I'm very surprised it doesn't cater for the disabled fishing more, a definite improvement needed.

Fish Stocks: 4/5

plenty for everyone really, theyve done very well on the stocks on this complex

Pricing: 5/5

Very, very good, especially the Under 12's fishing free with an adult. All fisheries should do this.

Note: Any junior up to and including the age of 12 accompanied by a guardian on a full price ticket, can fish for free and have the use of Stonebridge's own rods etc. See further news for details of the Salmon and Trout Association Junior Day.

Staff: 4/5

Good staff but as there is so much on this lake can sometimes be hard to get hold of as they are elsewhere but that's understandable.

Security 4/5

Owner lives on site for added security. Guaranteed to catch naughty people in abundance.

Overall: 4/5

Lovely match venue with caravan facilities. Nice owner who lives on site for added security. Guaranteed to catch in abundance.
