A Lake, approximately 2 acres, coarse/pleasure angling
B Lake approximately 2 acres, specimen/24 hour lake
C Lake, approximately 2 acres, match lake

Facilities 1/5

There's a portaloo! It's clean but that's it lol. However the town of Beccles is a 30 second drive from the lakes and there you will find Angling Direct for all your bait and gear and supermarkets for food etc. If you go in the Tesco's Car Park, Angling Direct is opposite.

Quality of fishing 4/5

All the lakes have a good head of fish that are relatively easy to catch. With a little effort they can get bigger. The only slight letdown is B Lake. The biggest Carp, Halffin, comes in at between 24 & 26lbs then its mostly lower to mid doubles. In my opinion it could do with a few more upper doubles and a couple of 20's. The Carp in A Lake go to the 10lb mark as well as nice silver fish, Tench and some big old Eels. I've never fished C Lake though some winning weights have been over 50lb in total.

Fish stocks 4/5

There's plenty of fish in all the lakes. You've gotta do things drastically wrong not to catch. I gave it 4 because I'd like there to be more upper doubles in B Lake, I'm probably being greedy lol.

Pricing 4.5/5

£7 for 2 rods 7am til dusk. £15 for 2 rods for 24 hours. I just wish there was an overnight price. Just because I never get a full 24hrs in lol.

Staff 4.5/5

The bailiffs are good and will tell you what's been happening and are generally nice guys. One or two are slightly more in favour of the matches, though they're still polite, it's hard to get a conversation going lol.

Disabled 1/5

You could get a wheel chair in but you'd push hard over a rough car park for limited pegs.

Security 0/5

There's none, no gate, nothing. Weekend nights you get boy racers in the car park, the police do pop down early evening well before the boys arrive lol. I've never heard of anything being stolen and certainly nothing of mine has but you never know.

Rules 4/5

Rules are in the picture above, they are very well explained as you walk into the Fishery so there can't be any confusion.

Overall 3.5/5

The disabled access is poor and no gate is a let down. It does however generally fish well no matter what your fishing tastes are, unless you're after a 30lb+ carp. It's a good set of lakes and with a little effort can produce a decent result.
